It is soon 25 years since the tragic M/S Estonia disaster in the Baltic Sea. 852 people died out of the total 989 passengers. The Swedish, Svenska Dagbladet - SvD and Sveriges Radio, have just wrote about the reasons to why many people were not found and rescued from the water.
One of the reasons was due to the lack of searchlights installed on the Swedish rescue helicopters.
Since then we have all learnt a lesson and all helicopters are equipped with searchlights..
Proper searchlights really make a difference and reading reports like these makes our team even more focused and passionate about what we are working with - developing and producing high quality searchlights.
