"The idea WiseLED is simple: to end once and for all with lights that are broken, require no maintenance and are not able to let light in sufficient quantities in all places where it is needed.
Employees of the manufacturer addicted diving and that is why as waterproof lights, and their reliability in general is given special attention. Materials for the manufacture of lamps collected from around the world to finished products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
I must say that any reader will smile after these words, because many times have we read these words about the different lights. But the smile is out of place here: lantern, which will be discussed in the review (the WiseLED Tactical 2000) showed the absolute superiority of brightness and time of work on all the LED lights that have ever participatedin our tests!"

09.07.2010: Tactical LEDs
***** (rating: 5 stars out of 5)
When Too Much is Just Right! It throws enough light that blasting your adversaries retinas into the next millennium may be an option... Overall, the Tactical is an amazing piece of LED Flashlight technology.

"Your light is PERFECT for police work, caving, Search and Rescue etc. It is waterproof with the proper equipment and it is much smaller and lighter than the SR90. Of the two, my favorite is the Tactical; not because I am writing to you; but, because your light is more well suited for multiple functions, whereas, the SR90 is designed to to throw a long single beam. The IPX-68 rating for the SR90 does not mean it is waterproof where your light is.
The SR90 is driven from the single die LED with a deep smooth reflector and it produces an enormous thin long beam. It is a great light for Search and Rescue teams that need to see something a long way off with binoculars or for hunting at night with a rifle with optics.
To me, the Tactical has a beam that is much more well suited for a handheld light. The beam on the Tactical is extremely bright but it doesn't have the throw that the SR90 has. To me that is OK, because without optical assistance a beam thrown several hundred yards is useless.
For instance, I'd much rather search a field or a football field with a Tactical than an SR90. In fact, I have used the Tactical multiple times searching along roadways and open fields for suspects. The beam pattern on the Tactical has enough spill that a suspect who is hiding off to my left or right is illuminated where they are threat to me (within 100 yards), when they are in close enough to attack or shoot with accuracy. The SR90 can put the beam out several hundred yards; but, the same suspect would remain in the dark (limited peripheral spill) as I approached to be able to get an advantage on me as I approached. Lighting up a suspect that is over one hundred yards away is great, but, they do not present much of a threat at that distance.
Your light works very well for what it was designed to do."

Featuring an incredibly bright output of 2,000 lumens, this hand-held bat signal stands among the world’s most powerful compact flashlights. It’s also built like Fort Knox and features a case made from Anodized Aerospace grade Aluminum, a thermoplastic rubber grip, built-in tail light, battery life indicator, and offers the possibility to customize the functionality of the buttons...

"Underwater, the 1500 doesn't disappoint and would rival most compact high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps. When we turned on the booster power, the light was stunning - comparable to that of a car headlight. You can also set it to flash 'SOS'. Weighing well under a kilogram, it's light enough to take abroad and, with a depth rating of 90 metres, will keep most of the technical guys happy.
I think I can safely say that halogen-bulb technology is dead and HID is coming to the end of its useful life, as LEDs are winning the battle for supremacy. The only downside is that, as with all new gadgets, the torch is expensive - but in time it will become more affordable."

"The very penetrative beam had a clearly defined edge, yet was even across its width. I started using it at reduced power because it was more than bright enough. It didn't appear to be overtly blue in colour temperature, either. I'm looking forward to trying other, bigger lamps in this range."

"I have been using the light since late November and it has operated flawlessly. It is not a small light but it became very comfortable to use in no time."
"Now that I’ve got the thing in my hands and started doing some preliminary tests with it, I’m very impressed with this light so far and I’m definitely keeping it. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorites in the short time that I’ve owned it.
One of the first things that I noticed is that my light has the updated fast strobe effect and updated pause points at the highest and lowest settings. The user interface seems to have been corrected pretty well. The other thing that I was surprised about was that the lowest level of output from this light appears to be very bright. It’s somewhere in the neighborhood of 175-225 lumens.
When the tactical is on low, it’s about twice as bright as my L2, or L4 with a similarly shaped beam, but obviously doesn’t have any dark spot (donut) in the middle."

"Tactical claims its one of the world's most powerful flashlights, and with good reason. I hesitate to even place it in the "flashlight" category."

"It's the first LED torch I've seen that impressed me in all respects. It's the first time I've seen a big slate chamber illuminated by LED!"
SPECIAL FLASHLIGHT TEST!
02.04.2010: The light output of the WiseLED Tactical measured
We have just had the light output of our Tactical measured by a company called Delta (http://www.madebydelta.com), which - among other things - specializes in light and optics. They have the equipment necessary to measure light output precisely and we are very proud to be able to state, that the Tactical HAS in fact an output of 2000 lumens!
Flashlights are often measured in LED LUMENS, which is the amount of light emitted directly from the LEDs, not taking into account the loss of light introduced by the lens and reflector. But the WiseLED Tactical has a light output of 2000 lumens measured "outside" the flashllight, so - in other words - the 2000 lumens are the actual light YOU SEE and not a theoretical number. That is now measured and certified.
Flashlight tests
New dive torch test website
Comparing flashlights and dive torches is not an easy task. Some manufacturers state the light output from their flashlights in lumens, some in lux, some in foot-candles, some in watts, some in peak beam intensity, some in … well, you get the point. Very confusing! Which is why we decided to take matters into our own hands. We purchased some of the best divetorches available and WE TESTED THEM!
Naturally our own WiseLED Tactical divelight is among the torches we tested!
You can find the test results on our new website divetorches.com
